It has been revealed that the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial district, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon popularly known as YAYI changed his name after his time as an accounts clerk in the news publishing firm; Guardian Nigeria.
This is coming as a body recognized as YOUTHS FOR CHANGE (YFC) in the All Progressives Congress applied for his work record in Guardian Newspapers under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.
It was discovered that the name being used by the Senator presently was totally different from the name he used as a staff under the said publishing firm.
The company records showed the account clerk who was with the newspaper company during the the time the Senator claimed to have worked there was known as Ogunleye Sulaiman Olamilekan. Close associates who worked during that same period also confirm the Senator has the same person who used Ogunleye Sulaimon Olamilekan.
Sources in the family of the Senator anonymously confirmed the said development but claimed that there was a document to that effect, but investigations by our reporter have it that such documents were not submitted to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), neither was there a newspaper publication to show the change of name.
There are insinuations that the Senator may have committed heinous crimes while working with the Guardian Newspapers or before then hence leading to the Illegal name change.
According to the statement released by the President of the YFC, the APC must not be associated with any form of corruption thereby advising President Muhammadu Buhari to stay away from any dealings with the Senator so as not to stain his integrity which was the reason Nigerians voted for him.
Calls to the media aide of Senator Olamilekan have been unanswered even as text messages have also not been replied.
Our reporters are still monitoring the status of things even as it should be noted that his election is still in contention by Segun Adewale in the court.
