Rivers APC during the rally

Reports have emerged from the All Progressives Congress, Rivers state chapter after a party chieftain and immediate past commissioner of land and survey in the state Ezemonye Ezekiel allegedly blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the continual staying of the present Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike in office.

He allegedly told reporters that president Buhari has not been decisive enough as they thought.
“After we spent over 30bn on his elections, he has abandoned us, gave us ordinary Minister of Transport and now we still do not have the Governor in office”.

The statement was said to have been made at the rally held to mourn those members of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  that died during the last general  elections.

When contacted on phone, he denied having said that claiming that the money spent on the elections cannot be disclosed to the public as we all know it is more than what the law speculated.

He also added that if the press needed information on how much money was spent on the elections from the state chapter of the party, they can as well contact the party directly and not him.

Efforts to get the party chapter’s official stance have proved abortive ever since but our correspondent is still monitoring the situation in the state.

It is no be noted that the All Progressives Congress had earlier organized a rally to mourn those whose lives were lost. The rally was well attended by party chieftains in the state.

It has been revealed that the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial district, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon popularly known as YAYI changed his name after his time as an accounts clerk in the news publishing firm; Guardian Nigeria.

This is coming as a body recognized as YOUTHS FOR CHANGE (YFC) in the All Progressives Congress applied for his work record in Guardian Newspapers under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.

It was discovered that the name being used by the Senator presently was totally different from the name he used as a staff under the said publishing firm.

The company records showed the account clerk who was with the newspaper company during the the time the Senator claimed to have worked there was known as Ogunleye Sulaiman Olamilekan. Close associates who worked during that same period also confirm the Senator has the same person who used Ogunleye Sulaimon Olamilekan.

Sources in the family of the Senator anonymously confirmed the said development but claimed that there was a document to that effect, but investigations by our reporter have it that such documents were not submitted to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), neither was there a newspaper publication to show the change of name.

There are insinuations that the Senator may have committed heinous crimes while working with the Guardian Newspapers or before then hence leading to the Illegal name change.

According to the statement released by the President of the YFC, the APC must not be associated with any form of corruption thereby advising President Muhammadu Buhari to stay away from any dealings with the Senator so as not to stain his integrity which was the reason Nigerians voted for him.

Calls to the media aide of Senator Olamilekan have been unanswered even as text messages have also not been replied.

Our reporters are still monitoring the status of things even as it should be noted that his election is still in contention by Segun Adewale in the court.

Microsoft’s home gaming console finally outdid the PlayStation 4 last month.

The publisher has confirmed its Xbox One was the top-selling system in the United States last month. This comes from industry-tracking firm The NPD Group, which will release its full report for April later today. Since launching in November 2013, PlayStation 4 has continually dominated the sales charts, and so this is a big win for the Xbox One in the console market. With the $55 billion worldwide console-gaming market up for grabs, Sony’s approximately 20 million PS4s sold is still helping it capture a bigger piece of that business than Microsoft’s estimated 12 million Xbox Ones.

Microsoft provided GamesBeat with the following statement.

“As the best-selling console in the U.S. in April, fans set record April sales and engagement for Xbox One last month,” Xbox marketing boss Mike Nichols said. “Xbox One console sales in the U.S. increased 63 percent in April 2015 compared to April 2014 and Xbox Live comparisons showed the number of active global users [Xbox One and Xbox 360] grew 24 percent. We are grateful to our fans for their passion and support and are looking forward to sharing more on the best game lineup in Xbox history at E3.”

We also reached out to Sony for a comment.

“We would like to thank fans around the world for their continued support of the PS4,” a Sony spokesperson said. “According to NPD, PlayStation continues to lead software sales for April 2015 and PS4 remains the cumulative sales leader in the US. We are looking forward to an amazing E3.”

It’s important to note that Sony is saying that PlayStation as a whole, which includes PS4, PS3, and Vita, is leading software sales. That isn’t surprising considering how well new games are selling on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and lead Sony’s system has over the competition.

Lara, the newly wedded wife of Adams Oshiomhole, governor of Edo state, has performed her first official role as the first lady of the state, less than 24 hours after her wedding. Iara in the company of her husband presented trophies and medals to winners at the Okpekpe Road Race.

The Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Ikeja, has granted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the March 28th and 29th National Assembly Elections in the state, Mr. Segun Adewale (Aeroland) to serve the Senator-elect and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the said election, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), through substituted means.
The order became necessary when the Counsel to the petitioners, Dr Yemi Oke, told the tribunal that Adeola has been evading being served the notice of the petition.
Dr Oke of MJS Partners relying on the Affidavit on Non-service deposed by the Bailiff of the Tribunal, told the Tribunal that all attempts by the bailiff of the Tribunal to effect service on Adeola had been futile.
Based on this, the petitioners’ Counsel urged the Tribunal, through an ex-parte application, to allow the petitioners to serve Adeola through a substituted means of pasting the processes on wall of his house to avoid unnecessary delay in proceedings.
The Tribunal granted all the reliefs sought in the application, and directed the service of all court processes on Adeola either through the APC secretariat; the Law firm of Dr. Muiz Banire, National Legal Adviser of the APC; or last known address of Adeola.
According to the petitioners’ counsel, all efforts to serve the senator-elect failed due to alleged uncooperative attitude of the people in his camp.
The lawyer said the Tribunal bailiff had on number of occasions visited the Senator-elect residence but was always turned back at the gate of his residence when his agents found out that the bailiff’s mission was to serve tribunal processes on their principal.
Through their petition, Adewale and the PDP are challenging the victory of Adeola on grounds of qualification, alleged irregularities and massive rigging that characterized the election.
The tribunal is statutorily required to determine the petitions within 180 days from the day of filing the petition.

Earlier this afternoon at the departure wing of the Muritala Muhammed Airport II, Lagos, there was a little pandemonium over the arrest of a young man identified as Kabiru by people around the airport at the time of reporting this and later identified as the son of the Osun State Governor over a huge sum of money being caught in his luggage as it was not accounted for by the young man.

According to the eye witness who identified himself as Mr Steven Adebola told NGReports that while the environment was brought to calm after some calls were made to the senior immigration officers and finally the presence of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola which led to the conclusion that he's his son and the whole issue was settled in a senior officer's office!

Text messages were sent to the Commissioner of Information of the State of Osun's Government on the incidence as we asked if that was the remaining funds for campaign being laundered out of the country but he denied the purpose of the funds though he confirmed the presidential campaign funds were still remaining.

Investigations are still being done on the incident and at the time of reporting this incident, text messages sent to the Immigration Comptroller have not been returned.

It is no longer news that the Lagos West Senatorial Election during the March 28th general elections was the fiercest ever in the history of Lagos State as the said election was extended to the second day.
The contestants were Hon. Olamilekan Solomon Adeola for the All Progressives Congress, APC and Otunba Segun Adewale for the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

The battle has now shifted to the Lagos State Elections Petitions Tribunal as the PDP candidate Otunba Segun Adewale popularly known as AEROLAND has filed in his petition at the tribunal. He is rumored to have won his APC opponent Hon. Olamilekan Solomon Adeola silly.

Our insider source who prefers to remain anonymous can authoritatively reveal that all is not well with the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate generally referred to as YAYI as he has been running halter skeeter in a frantic attempt to make sure the elections petitions tribunal does not upturn the election results declared in his favour by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as mounting evidences to prove the massive rigging carried out by his camp during the elections are being churned out by his PDP opponent in the said election – Otunba Segun Adewale.

The source stated that Solomon Olamilekan is jittery because the fraud that was perpetuated could not be perfected during the elections as many flaws are beginning to surface as the tribunal case thickens. It will be recalled that INEC declared Hon. Solomon winner of the election having polled 429,765 votes while his opponent Segun Adewale polled 372,421 votes but the latter has rejected the outcome of the elections on so many grounds.

To complicate issues for the YAYI camp, our source revealed that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who was visibly angry with Hon. Solomon Olamilekan during the elections for not marching up with AEROLAND has again lambasted YAYI for failing to perfect the rigging which is causing the leaders of APC sleepless nights. He also reportedly told him to settle himself at the tribunals, although party leaders have been begging on his behalf. Dr Muiz Banire promised to help him settle the case at the tribunal no matter what it takes and has vowed to deploy strategies which include enacting scrupulous technicalities and even outright settlement of the judges as the last resort to ensure his INEC declared victory is upheld.

The Lagos State chapter of the APC is also under severe pressure as it was rumored that the party failed to submit the list of all their candidates in line with the Electoral Act, 2010 as amended which is one of the grounds Otunba Segun Adewale is using against them at the tribunals.

A group known as the Change Ambassadors of Nigeria (C.A.N) has also called for the resignation of the state Chairman of the Party - Chief Henry Ajomale for failing to perfect their win as usual in Lagos State especially in Oshodi 1 Constituency where his son contested and lost a seat to the Lagos State House of Assembly. Top party leaders have vowed to unseat him describing the lose as a shame on the party.

Change Ambassadors leaders opined that Mr. Henry Ajomale resignation is non-negotiable as it will be the first test to show the public that their party that preaches change is living up to its slogan. The publicity secretary of the group said "We have asked him to resign and he must go. His son's failure is a disgrace to us after all Lai Mohammed and Asiwaju delivered their son and nehpew respectively".
